Students

Participate in the Lab!

As described on the home page, the SEAL Lab includes undergraduate participation in many aspects of lab activities.

If you are interested in working as a research assistant for this lab, please fill out and submit the following application. CLICK HERE TO OPEN RA FORM. Applications are generally considered on a first-come, first-serve basis, to fill a limited number of spots in the lab each semester. Priority is given to students who are (a) interested in graduate school and (b) available for more than one semester.

For more information about how to get involved in the lab, email Dr. Coyle at ECoyle@stmartin.edu

What's Involved?

Good question!

Research assistants in the SEAL Lab are involved in many different aspects of the lab.  Previously, RA's have helped with website design and maintenance, IRB design and drafting, participant recruitment, participant assessment and interaction, data coding/modeling, and other duties as assigned.

This is a great opportunity for lower- and upper-division students to build up research experience before stepping out into the workforce, or into graduate school.

Letters of Recommendation

Dr. Coyle often writes letters of recommendation for current and former research assistants and students.  If you are interested in obtaining a letter of recommendation from Dr. Coyle, send an email to ECoyle@stmartin.edu, giving as much notice as possible, to ask about her availability to do so.

Interested students should also fill out and submit the following form to Dr. Coyle with their email request.  CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD FORM
